Who is Pakistan’s highest paid freelancer in 2021? DigiSkills invites applications to find out
According to reports, freelancers in Pakistan made $ 150 million in FY 2019-20 alone, exporting to over 120 countries. With the income of freelancers rising, DigiSkills.pk, one of the government training programs that provides youth with freelance training, runs annual Ignite Awards for Top Freelancers to discover and highlight Pakistan’s highest paid freelancers.
Ignite Event recognizes the Top 10 earners from DigiSkills.pk who received Ignite awards. IT Department officials will be present at the event.
Therefore, all DigiSkills.pk trainees earning from either international or local clients / platforms have been asked to submit their proof of earnings via DigiSkills.pk’s Learning Management System (LMS). Evidence can be a URL for the trainee’s profile on the freelance marketplace, a screenshot of the freelance marketplace earnings, screenshots from local financial services like JazzCash, Easypaisa, a bank statement, or similar document.
To qualify for Ignite Awards, freelancers must submit their monthly earnings on the DigiSkills.pk LMS under the ‘Success Stories’ Section of the 25th of every month. in the July 2021, Ignite consolidates all earnings data based on documents submitted by freelancers from February to June 2021 to identify the best freelancers for the awards.

According to the organization, the financial documents will remain in the care of DigiSkills.pk and will not be passed on to the tax authorities. It should be noted, however, that the FBR continuously sends tax notices to the IT industry and freelancers, which invite constant criticism from the IT minister.
