Global RPA Collaboration Started by Mitsubishi
Mitsubishi Corporation (MC), NTT DATA, and NTT DATA subsidiary everis Brasil Consultoria de Negocios E Tecnologia Da Informacao Ltda (everis Brazil), announced the beginning of their collaboration in the field of global Robotic Process Automation (RPA). In May 2020, the three companies started working together on digital transformation (DX) in Central and South America. In addition to promoting this work for the global activities of the MC group, they now intend to use the customer base of both the MC and NTT DATA groups to market their WinActor solution for robotic process automation (RPA). With the support of the MC Group, NTT DATA plans to distribute 5,000 WinActor licenses to companies and government institutions outside of Japan by the end of 2024.
In December 2019, MC and NTT Corporation (NTT) announced a business partnership to pursue Industrial DX. Their early initiatives included a joint investment in HERE Technologies, a map and location data provider based in the Netherlands, and the creation of a joint venture called Industry One, Inc. in the food distribution industry, an area that MC specializes in and has extensive knowledge.
During this business relationship, the companies pursued a framework to achieve a transformation of MC’s business locations using NTT DATA’s digital technologies. Recently, in addition to the use of blockchain technology for trading transactions via the TradeWaltz platform, the companies have been using the WinActor solution for robotic process automation (RPA) developed by NTT, which is currently being used by the companies of the MC Group, Mitsubishi Shokuhin Co., is in use.
